The Beginning...

Darlene Minter has been working in the legal services industry for over 30 years.  Her first job was working as a legal secretary for her father, Attorney Fred W. Minter.  After college days, employment as a student nurse, and caseworker for the federal food stamp program, she returned to the law office full time in 1980.

Darlene received her paralegal certificate from American Institute for Paralegal Studies in March 1994.  After earning her paralegal certificate, Darlene took over the responsibility of Chapter 7 and 13 Bankruptcy cases, working with Attorney Dennis J. Murphy, to whom Fred Minter turned over his bankruptcy practice.  She also was responsible for all legal research, family law, and drafting various litigation documents for Attorney Fred W. Minter.

In 2001, Darlene's Paralegal Services was born, due to a need to take on additional work from other attorneys, and establish a separate, independent business from Fred W. Minter, Attorney at Law.

In 2004, Darlene earned the title of CBA (Certified Bankruptcy Assistant) from ABJA (Association of Bankruptcy Judicial Assistants), by participating in their annual convention, continuing education and exam for paralegals.

Also, in 2004, Darlene became a document reviewer for Amcooperative, LLC, and its online Self Help Lawyer Bankruptcy Program.

Darlene continued to work for Attorney Fred W. Minter and run Darlene's Paralegal Services from his office, until Fred Minter was forced to close his office, due to failing health, in June 2009.

After Fred Minter's death in November, 2009, Darlene continues to run Darlene's Paralegal Services from her home in Snellville, Georgia, as a virtual service to attorneys and small business clients.
